1924 VFL Season: Essendon
These are the details of the premiership results of Essendon for the 1924 VFL season. The team finished the regular season in first place, securing the minor premiership, and in turn, a place in the finals series. Essendon then faced South Melbourne, Fitzroy and Richmond in a round-robin finals series, finishing first. Since Essendon had finished first in both the regular season and the round-robin finals, they won the premiership. Had they only won the minor premiership, they would have been entitled to a right to challenge the winner of the round-robin finals in a grand final.
